Helpful
instructions for using the Message Board
The
first thing you will want to do is click on Register in the
upper right corner. When
registering be sure to click on YES for "Always show
my e-mail address". Otherwise no one will be able to contact
you.
Once you've registered and return to the Message Board Home Page,
be sure to LOG IN with your Username and Password
before posting any messages.
Click on the Heading: Luzerne County Area Memories (except Scranton).
There you can click on the topics others have written about.
If you wish to enter a message with your own memories, click on

Select a Subject for your message, and type your message in the
box provided.
For the present, you can ignore the information between the Subject
and Body.
These features are for being creative with your message.
Feel free to use the smileys. When you click on one, it is
inserted after the last word you typed. It will show up in the PREVIEW
screen.
When
you complete your message, click on the PREVIEW button at
the bottom.
At
this screen you can still change anything in your message.
If you try to submit a post and get the message: "Sorry but
that user name has already been taken", it's because you didn't
log in after you registered.
When
you have completed you message, click on the SUBMIT button
at the bottom.
Only
register once and only log in once per session.
If
you have any problems using the Message Board, either come back
to this page for instructions, or email me for help: joe@mehm.com.
In
addition to the MEMORIES category, I've also added a GENEALOGY
category.
In this category you can post any messages or questions dealing
with Genealogy,
and perhaps another reader will be able to answer your questions.
You can also post your SURNAMES in this message board, and check
on what names other readers are researching.
To
get back to the main Message Board page at any time, click the button
in the upper left corner of the page you are on.
This
board has a lot more features, click on FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
at the top of the Message Board for more information.
I
may be adding more categories in the future, but this is a good
start.
